Better hope it works well Germ, as the machines own GPU is the equal of a FIVE year old PC one. Also 8 gigs of RAM 3 of which is reserved for the OS. That thing looks extremely underwhelming. I think Sony will win this round by a mile.

I don't think there's much technically between them Adept, I think services and software are going to be the deciding factors this time round.

I think the current consoles (ps4, xbone, wiiu) are all drowning men fighting to stand on each others shoulders to stay above water while the Steamsharks, Ouyahawks and iPirahnas nibble them to death

2 things about the last generation of consoles:

1) the PS3 was released in 2006 with 256 mb of system and 256 mb of graphics RAM. The laptop I purchased in the summer of the following year had 512 mb of dedicated graphics RAM on its dedicated card.

2) My laptop now runs 3 GB system, 512 graphics.

3) My desktop has four cores on a processor each of which is more powerful than the processor on the PS3 as well as twice as much graphics RAM as the PS3 had combined RAM.
