H4L_OMNI wrote:QUOTE (H4L_OMNI @ Oct 12 2012, 09:39 AM) The ad is up and funded, let's how long it takes google to start showing it. I will be posting click rates by keyword and any other stats anyone would like to know or see. Just ask either here or in game. I've set 10 keywords to start and been downloading keywords and their cost per clicks from google, it's a lot of info but I've had experience before with tuning adwords to reach my target audience. I will be adding keywords, just don't want to add garbage.

And be nice to the noobs and spread the word to those who are not active on the forum to do the same in game.
Hi H4L,

That's a very generous thing you've done, thanks!

If you've got the skills, it might be worth while for you to setup a landing page or work with AEM (if he's willing, don't want to volunteer anyone ;) ) to set one up so that we can track if your spend leads to client downloads. It will help to start measuring how much traction we get to the page, and bounce rate (people who leave after the first contact), and the number of client downloads vs. users that stay.

If it helps, I setup a similar system for downloads at allegiance.chi-town.com which does download tracking on all the stuff on that site through google analytics. Feel free to reuse what ever you like from the HTML over there.

Thanks,
-BT

I was just thinking about a landing page. It's very important because of the system google has in place for adwords. The landing page has to reflect the ad in order to maximize the ads ranking and placement on a search result. Right now I'm just trying to drill down keywords and once that's done the landing page is a must.

yup, way to go on taking action to help out, utilizing the expertise you possess. it's the best way (actually, probably the only way) to get things going around here...

share with me some of these keywords that you ended up using and let me see if i can programmatically turn them into hashtags for twitter and create a campaign around that.

also who owns @freeallegiance ? can you create an api token for me. i rather use a more official sounding twitter account for advertising than my own @allegnotifier which has a specific purpose...

Here's a list of some of the keywords I'm looking at, not all will be there in the end but this is a rough spreadsheet for now:
