I picked up the CE yesterday and was muy disappointed that ol' Setille did not have her titties out on the cover art. BUT AS WE ALL KNOW FROM KOTOR, COVER ART CAN BE VERY DECEIVING. I guess the standards of graphics these days make that less true.

However I didn't even get a chance to open it as I'm on a flipping plane tomorrow morning so it will be sitting under my bed until the 8th of January by which time I am certain everyone and their mother will already be level 50 and ganking the bollocks off me with their triple wield force lightning saber droids.

I did find it annoying that sometimes it was near impossible for me (Marauder) to solo some tough mobs without the assistance of my companion to take some of the flak and actually deal more damage than me. I'm also pretty confused over how crew skills work at the moment, I only have one companion and two gather skills but only one crafting skill. I assume that you get more companions along the way but for the moment I'm just stuck with a crapload of useless scrap metal that I just vendor off (and surely am going to regret it) because it's just filling up space in my inventory.

ALSO

Someone tell me what further face changes there will be with my character if she continues down the dark side. They are impressive but if my sexy queen sith has to have a veiny melting wax face like darth sidious just because she is following the evil path then $#@! that @#(! i'm going to be a miss goody two shoes sith in order to preserve my looks.

Anyone progressed into tier 2/3 dark side?

As it is I'm pissed off that my beautiful green eyes have turned auburn. Took me freaking 6 hours on the character select screen, the least they could have done was to give me the option of whether to look like a tit or not.

Edit:

I REPENT FOR MY LACK OF FAITH.

They do have an option to turn the corruption off, huzzah!

What server are you on dude? I need people to quest with =( Solo-ing is fun and all but I need friends. I guess I could join some random guild...

I'm at lvl 15 Jedi Knight and it's pretty awesome so far. There are a ton of side-quests and I obsessively find myself having to do every single one. None have been too terribly interesting, but I always see the little triangle above somebody's head and I'm like "... what if they give you something REALLY GOOD for doing the quest??"

It's a very different MMO than Star Wars Galaxies, which is what the bulk of my MMO experience is. I miss the free-form, sandbox nature of SWG a little, but the level of polish in TOR and the sheer production value of it all makes up for it. SWG had basically no questing content, or at least none that was worth doing. I guess this is more the World of Warcraft approach where the whole game is quest-based.

It is a single player game you play monthly for.
With some endgame grind.

Just play Guild Wars 2.

The MMO parts aren't bad. The one "Flashpoint" I did was actually pretty fun. The MMO culture just sort of grates on me after awhile. I love multiplayer co-op games, which is essentially what MMO's are, but they require a huge time-sink and I'm not really up for that after the holidays.

agri liked this

until he met Vette and her comments

and now he loves it

the cutscene where you - as a sith warrior - end up getting your ship is one of the funniest scenes in gaming history. its worth levelling a char to that level just to watch it.

Skyrim is awesome. You can do pretty much anything you want.

Still hooked on TOR, too. Grouped with my first angry MMO-nerd tonight who got all pissed that I was trying to tank when he was the designated "tank." I was just trying to pull a guy off of him cause our healer was having problems keeping up, but he got all pissy and yeah. Reminded me why I hate MMO's sometimes. They really attract a unique breed of nerd =)
