I think that people saying the EU now has its own "afghan" is short sites.
The Americans are not the only ones over there, there are a substantial amount of personnel from other countries there aswell including a large Uk force.
Libyan rebels capture parts of tripoli
Well if I called out UK and US too, I'd be labeled anti alleg and burned as a heretic

Me as a dog person and MrC as a cat person get along great

FYI, Seif al-Islam was NOT captured. And Kadhafi launched three scud missiles at Misrata today. This isn't over yet, especially if NATO is incapable of stopping ballistic missile launches more than half a year into the war. Makes you wonder about the future of an alliance so incompetent that it cannot find scuds in its own backyard. Then even if Tripoli fell, what do you do about Sirte and Sabha? Large chunks of the country are still loyal to the madman, especially the south populated by black Africans. Then again, perhaps I'm being too pessimistic. Only time will tell.
Edit, this is what Al Arabiya is airing now:
This should've been obvious when the rebels said they took him alive.

My apologies.
Actually Duscan's post I agree with quite a lot. its the EU fanboys who cannot see the dictator for the dead civilians who need a reality check. *#$@daffy is a @#(!bird tbs but as depots go, ESPECIALLY in the oil states, he was pretty benevolent... as @#(!birds g9
