I have still been unable to properly test this fix and confirm it works. Can someone point me to instructions on running an R6 LAN server?

I wrote this a while back after Imago walked me through it. Not sure if it is out of date.

The link to your cfg file is broken. Maybe paste contents into the wiki instead?

I've had a look at that page on setting up local lobby and server, and I don't understand how to do half of it. I also don't have any development tools installed (eg: visual studio). So while the client imago suggested I try does not crash, and works alright in the training missions, it is impossible for me to reproduce the steps which caused the bug without playing an actual game, and thus I cannot confirm the fix works as intended.

If someone can point me to all the steps I need to do to run a beta lobby and server locally, or a beta LAN server, I'm happy to try and test it. I just don't know where to start with it.

BETA Lobby/Server is up for you.

Thanks.

Both executables supplied by Imago start, allow me to connect to the beta lobby, and freeze at the "Joining Mission" stage. It does this both when I try to connect to the zone game, or start my own game. I don't know if the issue is on my end or the server. After several minutes of nothing hapenning, I used task manager to quit the game as the game was otherwise unresponsive.

Are there logs somewhere which have been generated during this event and I should post for you?

Mach2 appears to be unavailable on R5 at the time I tested, but the current ASGS/R5 works as usual on stripe and allowed me play as normal and expected.

When I just tried It crashed because I was missing some artwork, maybe it's that. Delete filelist.txt from your beta folder and try again, if that doesn't work copy the newer stuff from your regular artwork folder. Or just make a game on an older core which you know you have stuff for in your beta artwork.
