You don't want a 64 bit version of asgsupdate, you want a locked 32 bit version. I posted one in the helpline a couple weeks ago.

Download R5.zip into autoupdate and unzip it, or in Aleg program files? Please be specific. Im not good at this. Aleg tried to update on login. I got"alleg.exe has an invalid signature. Try to repair file?" Then it stated "unhandled exception. Object reference not set to the instance of an object" Then the installer hung. vista 64.

There are now 3 files in that zipfile:
Allegiance.exe
AGC.dll
newgamescreen.mdl

Place both the exe and the dll into "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Allegiance" or wherever you installed Allegiance to. Overwrite the two files there.

Place the mdl file into "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Allegiance\artwork" and overwrite the file there.

This should get you up and running.

If you are on a 64 bit OS.

I remember awhile ago an intel integrated graphics issue. The screen had some goofy lines, and stuff like that. I'm getting something like it when I have environment on, and when I get close to any texture (ships, roids, bases, etc.). I'll try to get some screens soon, but it reminds me of the intel integrated issue.

Also, the lines all converge at the center dot of my view.

Screens:
This is about to dock at a giga garrison. So far, it happens with every faction and every texture.

After doing a 180 from the docking bay door:

This is on the bottom of a giga garr, facing perpendicular to the "plane" of the base

Facing perpendicular to the face of an asteroid:

With "environment" turned "on":

The nice part about being a pessimist is that you are constantly being either proven right or pleasantly surprised.

Wow, does that make it confusing.

Just got done with a 4 teamer. I was chasing a purple miner. Thought I had three wingman with me (green). Well after I die, I am about to yell at the 3 @#$%@#s who don't attack miner with me.. Find out the 3 were yellow (purple's ally).

Being colorblind with 4+teams can be such a pain in the ass.

Well the only server converted to R5 was GPZ until 10 minutes ago and GPZ dudes stuck around for a good long time making sure it was working.

FreeBeer just changed Solap over, my ISP crashed about the same time as GPZ... so anyhoo Solap is up, GPZ will get a reboot soon, and Planet will get the upgrade soon.
