Giga shield perk

Das you're confusing "capacity" with "yield." All miners take a full load on virtually any money settings, giga is no more equipped to do a 1 miner econ than IC is.

Perhaps you misunderstood me? Giga miners pull in 9k per full load (or thereabouts) and over the course of mining the whole sector you've been able to get together the extra cash necessary to buy a techbase. Sure it may not be as fast as TF 2-3 miner econ, but it's definately less dependant on refs or ops and allows you to put the entire defense team on a single miner instead of defending a sector of miners.

Haha and with a full sector of HE on *normal* settings you can actually mine 2 sectors at the same time with full 4 miners, although splitting your defense as giga isn't the best of times for miner life.

Anyways, back on topic: Shield perk ftw, don't go Giga Exp unless you know what you're doing. It's not like every faction/tech combo has to be perfectly balanced against every other, sometimes you get the Rix Sup just so that you can get FB to end the game because Rix HTT ain't cuttin it.
