JPO we have that, it's called the HoD.

As for the "Decoy" constructors, it's probably a bad idea for the balance reasons already mentioned. If they are cheap they will just be spammed, and why not? If they were like 1k or less you'd be stupid not to send one on every bomb run to absorb mines and distract. If they are more than 2k then what's the point?

So what you're saying is that this needs to cost 1.5k.

How about a faster acting aleph res?

Instead of giving people like.. what is it.. 8 seconds to GTFO, it's a 2 second bomb with a hairpin trigger.

Make it real expensive though. This is made to $#@! camps up royally.

edit:

Actually, a better (imo) extension on that idea...

A hairpin trigger (2s) aleph res that does much less damage. Say like, would do 50% damage to the hull of a camping interceptor.

So as to soften up the defence before bombing.

Let's finally Unleash the Helix Cannon!

I vaguely remember some framerate issues in my personal tests, but they might be fixed with some tweaking (You could probably lower the firing rate a lot and have it look exactly the same depending on your monitor's refresh rate). R5 may also help out.

That's a double helix :ninja:

EDIT: That could be a new anti base capship weapon.

I think in one of the VoS core versions it was like a 3 second aleph res instead of 7 seconds which makes it uber cheese, especially a res3, can pod a whole team straight away with no chance to escape.

That's just a sprite of two colored balls, high firing rate, and some rotation.
