Some of them were major problems, some were minor problems, some are additions, etc.

Also, there is massive, massive, massive amounts of code change when it comes to Dx9

And the Dx9 fix is essential as a number of newer graphics cards had serious problems with the GFX engine in R4.

I was unaware that R5 was going to incorporate the Dx9 fix. I thought the graphix card fix was going to stay a separate version. I guess it makes sense to officially incorporate it into R5.

Separate question - I saw a thread talking about R5 being loaded without ASGS. Does R5 have its own security program? I know TheBored has a crew doing super secret development of the ASGS successor. Will this be incorporated in R5?

Sorry to bug you guys with the questions...I do not have time to play the game these days much less do beta testing.

Any alleg can be launched without ASGS, but you can't log onto the main lobby, since it does have ASGS protection.

The beta lobby usually does not have ASGS protection, so you're free to log in without ASGS

Nah - the R4 Alpha gfx fix was only ever a quick sortof Prototype version of R4 with the engine changed. R5 was always going to be Dx9.

What Andon says with the ASGS not running on beta. No-one knows the release schedule for the ASGS replacement, except they are aiming to have it up before the official release of windows 7 so people can continue to play easily.
