Except that proper int whores know how to handle open-space prox without getting hit, and how to mostly bypass aleph dropped prox. Prox camping alephs only works against voobs or if you have some ints on your side as well.

<3 lobbing DFs at sitting ducks in the shroud of a freshly activated proxed aleph.

There's some trick about this that I haven't figured out yet. Apparently :ninja: there's a way to boost your int at an angle through the aleph that will let you exit it from like some weird near-90 degree angle from the edge on the other end, bypassing the prox significantly thus allowing you to go at boosting speed while taking minimal damage and in fine form to hit the D from the reverse side or boost to whatever your target is.

I proxed Drizzo twice sitting on the same aleph. Damn voobs! ;) :iluv:

I would really like to join the stack every game-I really would, but my conscience forbids me from doing so. Every now and then I treat my self to an easy win, but it's about as much fun as playing on the cluless team game after game after game.

Anything below 50 in games larger than 10 v 10 really isn't a stack.

Man, on some level I wish I was like you mallow, but I like the smooth, almost surreal feel of being on a team that knows what it's doing. I like it even more when the other team knows what it's doing as well, which is why I love squadgames to death. But PUGs, far too often I'm sitting around and I need to do everything, I need to drive the bomber, fly the entire nan train, fly the scout going in front to deprobe, fly the ramming interceptor from behind, and man both turrets, because despite the fact that the commander has yelled for thirty minutes to get on the bomb run, no one's bothering as they're too busy DMing vs asteroids in our back sectors.

And I can't stand that. It is, as I said, not difficult at all to be useful in a pug. PUGs should not be as bad as they are, unless I'm some wildly talented pilot (which I don't think I am...) You don't even need situational awareness! Just the basic ability to read english is enough! For the most part the commander will tell you where you need to be, and no commander will be all, "Ok, bomb the tac." "Where from, boss?" "STFU NOOB! *boot*" so if your comm doesn't tell you where you need to be or you're jsut not sure, you can always ask.

The F3 team order option has become one of my favourite plays lately when commanding or just sheep herding in general. :P

F3 --> Team --> Defend --> right click on bomber. Everyone on the team gets the order in big red text on their HUD. If it's especially important, a follow-up with the repair option will be done, and sandwiched between voicechats `do `nu and BOLD TEXT OF "DEFEND THIS BBR, WE ARE BBING "X"" 30s before bbrs research // when bbrs are bought // etc.

I've found roughly... /me pulls out notebook and calculator... 6.75% higher success rates with this tactic. w00t Although sometimes the other team just has excellent hoes. =/
