No one got huffy and the APPEARANCE ( I even bolded the bit about him not meaning to come across that way so it was apparent what I was saying ) was poor. Look at Ogo's take on it. It was advice on the community's reaction to things rather then me being cheesed off at him (the computer bit was what promoted me to write what I wrote). As the fat guy who ran the bodega said in the movie Sleepers, "It's jut free advice from me to jew. Do wit it as you please." I guess the STFU bit was what prompted the comment but it wasn't really me saying it ffs.

100 textures may be nothing in a game, but bear in mind that most of us are nostalgic nubbins who are playing a game that is almost ten years old, and the Development guys and girls aren't paid. This is why updates are slow.

People also don't like it when noobs come in and say "x doesn't seem so hard". If it isn't so hard, then why aren't they doing it?

And yeah, the game looks dated. Like I said, it's almost ten years old. What do you think?!

i didn't mean to offend anyone, i was simply wondering whether or not someone had made a texture pack. the bit about the computer was probably a bit uncalled for, but i'm used to game forums where that's considered mediocre.

Mesial's site should probable be more visible on places such as the "download" page, the wiki, maybe even sticky a thread in gameplay (very maybe). Art & Ingame Content is buried in "development zone" and "models textures and images" is buried even further down. I think a link to Mesial's site on the "download" page would probably make the most sense, that would be my first place to look if I wanted to upgrade my graphics.

(There's even a mods section, but it only has one chatpack.)

I don't think Macattack278 said anything wrong at all.

Heh, don't mind everyone! They love ya, they're just grouchy. Anywho, yes, hurray for Mesial and his awesome texture-filled pages of awesome. They should indeed be more advertised. Even though my computer is crappy and all I have installed are the environment and asteroid high-res textures. But even just those make a huge difference.

Sincerely it was advice and some back story to clue you in rather then being bitchy (or at least that was my attempt) since allot of people put in allot of free time keeping things running. Go over to the wiki and read the history on the game and you might understand better why people who can be so damn feisty at times.
