All AI ships are drones, and all drones have ships. Picking pods is a ship-dependent attribute which applies to some drone ships and not others.

TF cons can pick pods? WTF! I never knew that!

If you want to learn something specific, ask for it. You may just get a 1 on 1 training session.

I still remember when someone took me into a small game to show me how to effectively attack miners/cons with SFs and also how to keep cons from planting if you're the only one around. It was insanely useful. If you catch me in game, I'll be happy to pass along whatever tricks I've learned. :)

Bing! Precisely.

Drones are still ships - If it can land in a base and take off again, then it's a ship.

Also - Any piloted ship (Which includes carriers) can pickup pods.

neither did I. I was checking to see if cons could pick up pods and I saw this and went "WTF?"

I agree with the people who said take CDT 1 and 2. It's a helpful self-study program that covers everything you need to know to begin your quest on becoming somewhat useful to those around you... I found it quite helpful...

Granted I'm still working on some of the skills I learned in the program, but they built the base of my future skyscraper of success!

Good tips for noobies. You have taken the initiative Trix, even though you haven't been playing very long. Well done.

The first thing a total newbie should do is polish my Patty until their arms become stumps. Then they shall learn.
