should nan restore energy of the target ?
I didn't even think of that. SR's now could nan each other, for unlimited Fig rip ins. I will be playing all rix sup if this even becomes thought about.

A bios bombing run would be quite hilarious actually if nans were imba enough.
All the enemy would see was 1 or 2 scouts which would be nanning the cloaked scout in front etc etc for a whole nan train and a bomber, and nobody would know /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

hum this has nothing to do with rewriting ICE...Psychosis wrote:QUOTE (Psychosis @ Sep 17 2008, 10:47 PM) Because I would LOVE to play with all these new features, but ICE is not compatible with alot of it. Sadly right now I do not have the time to rewrite ICE.
on second though, I think that we should consider switching to an energy restoring gun, instead of using nan by itself
ICE allows only what allegiance client & server allow. adding new features like that one require 1st to change the code in allegiance and then and only then you can add it in ICE.
Rewriting only ICE won't let you add new features to the game, you need to change both alleg code and ICE (or whatever core editor).

you're assuming that these nans are giving more energy than they use.guitarism wrote:QUOTE (guitarism @ Sep 17 2008, 10:06 PM) I didn't even think of that. SR's now could nan each other, for unlimited Fig rip ins. I will be playing all rix sup if this even becomes thought about.
if they use more energy than they give then two ships nanning each other will just loose energy since say if it takes 10 energy to fire the nan and they get 5 energy when they get nanned, overall they would loose 5 energy every shot (10 lost, 5 gained: -10 +5 = -5).
so in the above it is only taking half the energy to nan something which nans you back, but you still loose energy, so you won't get the infinite figs ripping in.
if you got a bunch of nans on 1 sr you could rip stuff in faster, but it wouldn't be infinite, with the above 50% energy loss every two extra scouts nanning the 1 SR would be equivalent to having another sr.

Sorry MadP, I meant more like you have 1 sr and 1 regular scout who nans the sr, unlimited rip ins for the figs. Cheese? I tihnk so.
