ASGS by Pook was written long after MS dropped the game.

The loggins used to be handled by the MS gaming zone. You used to enter your name and your password after clicking on the free game or allegiance zone icon instead of having to load a side program.

Also, you get music with your intro movie /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Another feature of having a CD install is that you had to enter a CD key.

The main reason I'd install allegiance with the CD would be to have the AZ icon back.

Part of the CD key was FERAL, was this a codeword related in some way to Alleg?

They were thinking about the feral nature of the conquest of Britain by the Vikings many moons ago. They figured what with Kevdude gearing up for impossibly long gaming sessions and his destiny to reach number 1 after DrStrglv they should pay homage to the savage that lives within all the English.

Pico, if you keep up this level of tomfoolery, you stand every chance of being promoted to canadian.

I've got 3 or 4 CD's. I bought the original when it first came out. Then a friend bought a copy and subsequently gave it to me when he 'gave up computer games for grad school'. I've since found 2 copies in the $5 bin so I picked them up.

While this should be clear, the version that is on these CDs will not connect to the current servers. There is no advantage to installing it and then 'upgrading' with the download from here.

There is some artwork and music, etc, that some might find interesting however.

Such an "upgrade" is not supported by the software or the helpline team either. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
