What ImmZ said is true. Maybe you switched off the 'Use secondary device when needed' option?

He probably turned on the acceleration - it can easily be confused since its not a on or off display.

If I remove service pack 1 - will that allow me to remove the .net framework 3.0?

YES IT WORK IT REALY WORKED MUHAHAHA - removed SP1 - no more error.

Thank you for your test. Removing Vista SP1 might be a way to play Allegiance again, but it is not a viable option in the long run... :(

If you have time, you could try to install 3.0 and 3.5, then install SP 1 and afterwards uninstall and purge the net crap again. That could work.
