It could be the non-standard graphics size. Try removing those registry entries from the 1.1 keys.
Doofus uses the res from the drop down but that may conflict with what you have in the registry.
Two other things to check
-8x anti aliasing crashes the client for a lot of people
-make sure you have the artwork files

No problems, though ASGS didn't pull down all of the artwork files I needed. I had to use your link and install them manually.
The only thing I wish I had was a 2nd timer on the invest window, and I don't really think the minute/seconds label is necessary. People will figure out what's what after a few seconds anyway.
The 2nd timer is for how much time is left before your partial investment runs out. Something like
0:15 (1:45 total)
when you fully invest, the parenthesized text goes away.

ATI mobility Radeon Xpress 200.
It still crushes (new R5) after some flying time with "Allegiance exited with code: x5c9b035fed62d487".
Blow out gauges on eject for my HUD seem fixed though `yt

The dx9 client ignores the registry values. Presumably you choose a widescreen resolution from the dropdown?
I just did a get on the current codebase and mine crashed as you described because those artwork files were missing...

Yep, it was the artwork files. I fixed it this morning and ran a quick test game. Perfect!

Cool, the more the merrier. I've already tried it on an 865G integrated chipset and it worked fine.

Beta version crashes for me. Regular version works fine.
I have nvidia geforce fx5900.
Crash happens right after clicking "ok" in Alleg Video Setting window, no matter what settings I choose.

Ok.. installed the Artwork files, and running normal resolutions 800x600 @60hz AtiRadeon600 XPsp2
I can make a game, I can even start up the game.. but after I launch, at the point it should change from the launch animation to the cockpit view it crashes. Allegiance exited with code: x5c9b035fed62d487
