You know, maybe it has to do with the fact that some people don't play pickup games because of all the double-standarding going on.

Or maybe some people don't play pickup games because commanders take draconian measures against experienced piolts simply stating the obvious.

Maybe the commanders wouldn't have to if those pilots, being so incredibly experienced and all, invested their energy in changing "the obvious", rather than bitching about it.

I don't think pu games are worth the energy of bitching about the @#(! teams much less trying to fix them.

Boot the players who join your team to stack.. its simple.. a player with Vet rank join your team which is have better players then the other team.. accept and boot, he will come back with a hider and join the other team.. problem solved.

There are far better players then stacker's who appreciate a fair game.

BTW, Immz was discussing another game or a hypothetical. The failure in question was failure to defend our sup. It was on short notice, a badly-placed secondary base. Not that it matters.
Correct. Different game, which we lost due to sheer team inability to nan. I hated it so much.

Me and a couple squaddies were tearing up bases, but we didn't get constant nannage after we started pushing them back. Only Dangeruss@GB and a couple others (Mesial? I forget) kept supporting our runs.

Yup, I solo nanned you on a couple of base kills. I had to laugh my ass off about it because we were BOTH podded before the bases blew up. Talk about getting the final missile out at the last second...

Well Quack, if I can't call players morons, then you better sure deal with the team so that I don't have to say it anymore.

I do not doubt Noir's value. It happens that I haven't played with him a ton, but his reputation proceeds him. He was right that the team was not doing what it needed to do. I would not have booted him if he hadn't been on all, given the circumstances.

I expect everyone to fly by the same rules.

If you are flying for me, I'd rather you take your views to me in a PM. If you tell me that there's a problem I can try to fix it. If you think it is hopeless, pm me and ask to resign. Or say, "I think this is over unless we can XYZ". Or just leave. There are plenty of more constructive things to do than to demoralize the team. I think all commanders deserve this courtesy.

I hate booting people, but I hate seeing my team stop fighting because of a few words from a single vet. If that vet is claiming that the game is lost, then he's not really valuable any more, is he?
