I was recently booted for being on SysX's team in a squad match for about 5 minutes before anybody noticed.

There was a game a couple of weeks ago where both teams booted a (1) or a (2), due to persistant chat spam/asking for caps, that kind of thing. Not just for a while, but for 45 minutes plus despite being told to be quiet. I remember the one on our team - his stats were 0 kills, 0 assists, 0 points, 5 ejects in 45 minutes. This was beacuse he was too busy telling us to get caps and, when we did get SY, asking for one himself because he was so amazing in one. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

As for the newbie on the other team, I remember the commander's reaction at the end of the game, was something like

AHHH
I DON'T CARE THAT WE LOST
I JUST WANT PEACE FROM RANDOMNOOB(1)
AARGHH
*profanity here*
HE WOULDN'T SHUT UP

Two definite cases, in my book, of it being ok to boot a newbie. They really were spoiling the fun for the majority. BV's "Darwin rule" would apply here (ie - some people are not going to stay in the community no matter what you say/do). Funny to look back on though.

God that was a nightmare!

Not a boot per say but I got a laugh out of Jimmy's ban for playing with no pants
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

Well not to make this something more then it is which IMHO was Bacon being Bacon and why we all love him in a sick twisted way. The comm-bination plate for SysX definitely knew who they accepted with regard to you and the other so far unmentioned one.

Something like this:

juckto: Randomnoob(3), shut up
juckto: That is a direct order
1 min later
randomnoob(3): Need better weapons!
juckto: Randomnoob(3)
randomnoob(3): what?
juckto: You have failed me for the last time
juckto has booted randomnoob(3) from the game.

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

I was booted by Baxter a long time ago for screaming at the team for their incompetence.

TP2 drop, TF Fig Bommas. Right, this is an aleph drop to a techbase that was 2K or even less from the hole. Unfortunately for the nubbins, there's also an op in the same sector, 7K away. So, we all rip in and then everyone aside from me and TMC I think (maybe it was takingarms, I seem to remember their name starting with "T") decides to fly over to the op and bomb it. Needless to say, we get the techbase down to a sliver of health, we get podded, the other guys get podded and no bases die.

I begin ranting at the team ($#@!ing morons, 7-$#@!ing-K, $#@!ing op) and Baxter boots ME first. Christ!

QUOTE I remeber once not too long ago, I joined BoG/MW's team to help get the game off the ground. As soon as the game launched he booted me before I even loaded to the hangar screen. Nice to know Booting the Gooeyfish is more important the buying your opening con's.[/quote]

Maybe he thought the team wouldn't gel. Gooey, gel, geddit bah forget it. All I know is revenge is a dish best served cold.

Wrong. I had dropped and they snuck on then. But please tell everyone else what a squad you are not in "Definitely knows" or just save us all time and say you are speaking out of your ass.

That being said Bacon was a valuable ally that game, valiantly serving breakfast sandwiches from inside our expansion
