It's a wargame. There's no such thing as unfair.

In fact, the object of the game is to create a situation that is inherently unfair - to whit, bring superior firepower to bear upon your enemy.

Well there are ideas of fairness during wartime, but often times it's not. Still, it doesn't mean you should go tac, bbr rush, Bios GS, or SY in a 5v5 game unless you want to look like an @#$%@#.

look, if you dont know how to slow yourself down on launch so you DONT get owned, then you deserve to die.

FYI, backthrusting will SAVE YOUR LIFE!!!

that being said, my sense of honor dictates that I will prefer to INT camp your red door, but when it come down to a pinch, its not about honor, its about winning the $#@!ing game

It might be controvertial, but I'm going to disagree here. I view those all as valid strategies, even in small games. You don't like it? Counter your perceived cheese with other perceived cheese.

I would disagree that there is any notion of fairness during wartime. Rules of war or "laws" of war exist but they are not based on fairness, but rather conscience and humanity (i.e. mercy, not fairness).

I didn't say you coudln't. I just said you'll look like an @#$%@#. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

EDIT: BTW, remember this is still a game. Do whatever you want, but you'll still be pissing others off and it doesn't make for much of game. If you're considerate, you'll take this into account. Personally, I find bbr/gs/sy rushes in small games extremely boring and makes for a poor game. Yes it is a "wargame" but unwarranted ruthlessness just breeds ill will as you are still part of a community win or lose. There are a couple examples I'm sure everybody can think of when it comes to cheese/win-at-all-cost coms. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I would like to point out that the first person who ignores my order to prox a red door and spouts some @#(! about honor, will be eating lobby as fast as i can find the damn button to do it.

Our team's victory, is more important then minor naggings of your conscious.

i cant believe the depth of carebear @#(! that this is... its unreal....

Don't sit in base and watch the scout fly 5k and camp. There's a clue. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Just to clarify myself; I am not against doing it, however, I feel a small bit of guilt/pity when they launch getting podded wave after wave, of course along with the joy. I might be a carebear. /wub.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":iluv:" border="0" alt="wub.gif" />

And don't blame ppl launching into that mess, I have done it in the only 2 big games I have played, one squad scrimmage and one zone game, and podded almost the complete enemy team, most probably that includes some of you as well. Shows that not everyone knows how to avoid it.
