I'm aware that you can back up your talk, and that you're better at this game than I am. It's just a shame that under all that ability there's a personality that strikes me as borderline sociopathic.
Hah, Sociopathic? Far from it, that is a very strong label you are throwing around there. I understand everything I am doing, and I premeditate my actions. I understand what the "Social Norm" is, I choose not to apply myself to it.

Whoops, wrong term. You're right, psychopathic is what I meant, at least as far as I can glean from wikipedia. I know you do this all on purpose, that's what troubles me.

I'm afraid you are very wrong there MW.
GB and PK are two squads known for bombing enemies to oblivion. GB does it with finesse, we do it with brute force. And we don't use heavy ints. PK uses Belter bombers traveling at 150+ to do its job. GB uses multi-point attacks, diversions, double-blinds - you get the idea.
This style of play was very effective till a few months ago. The sudden flooding of capable recon pilots and the increase of average SG size from 12 people per side to 20 people per side have diminished the effectiveness of the fast and brutal bombing we used to employ.

Out of interest, in what way are the commonly used SG maps (Hihi, IO) smaller than the most commonly used PU game maps (Hihi, IO)?
I agree with Ogo on that count.

Shush.
How does beating drunken me int v int relate to your incompetence in squad play?

Yeah MW is wrong on the map size comment but bombers are used a bit less in squad games in the rush to adv tech. They do come up though but usually later in the game. Of course vs bios or tac or if playing as bios/tf/belts it's wise if not mandatory to get them going earlier.

You actually just confirmed my own statement. Immz, What GB and PK do to make bomb runs successful has nothing to do with the topic. Yes, the "Recon Pilots" eye the bombers using scouts and probes, as I said, diminishes their effectiveness. The sizes of maps that squad games are normally played on can be debated however, but my core points still hold true.

Im not sure about you, but a lot of PU games these days are played on Hilo4for2, Aces Squared, Emerald, or other large maps, although yes, Hihigher is probably the most commonly played map overall. But squad games rarely get to maps bigger then Hihi, IO, but many a time smaller. Where as Pug's go the opposite way, Hihigher is normally the smallest, and many a time do they play larger.

Walking the talk, not talking the talk. I also beat you on my (Now Known) Hider in a command showdown. I find it funny how you flew for me every game I commed until you found out who it was.

Awww MW is swinging his cock around again!
At this point it's beginning to get cute. Tell us more about what squad games are like, MW!

Oh, and since when I was a good comm? I also don't find my will to play the damn game 'funny'. Just for the record: I figured out that 'Hostility' was you after first game I flown for you. You're too obvious dude.
I don't have a 'don't fly for' list. True, I avoid flying for some commanders, but if I just want to fly, I will, no matter who has the opening.

Hmm, I wonder if we could get map stats at any point to find out what proportion of the time certain maps are used (I am pretty sure that Hihi and IO make up about 75% of serious games). Oh and SGs are very rarely played on maps significantly smaller than those two and they are also played on larger maps.
I think what people are saying here is "Don't assume you know the ins and outs of SG play when you haven't had that much experience of them." Personally I haven't seen a drastic drop in bombing in SGs recently, if anything all the squads are getting more canny with their use of bombers.
In any case better scouts mean better deprobing as well as better probing (although the common usage of IC RPs makes deprobing pretty tricky due to their broken nature, but I digress) and eye can be used to the advantage of the bombing team making sure that a run is eyed as another, deprobed and uneyed run goes in.
Also there are techniques like TP1 bomb runs and so on which rarely get used in PUGs but can be very effective in SGs due to the higher level of co-ordination available.
