Where there were 400 players logged on at once just on AZ(add like 300+ for FZ for a total of 700), there were often CTF games popping up. The best ship were belters adv SFs. There was no way to see them untill they stole your flag and then they were running away at 200+ mps.

QUOTE how would you resupply? Ints run out of fuel and ammo, and powerups don't come when you want them to![/quote]
You fight until you die!

Nah, seriously, you'd have to scavange fuel and ammo from your dead opponents.

Actually, since we're talking custom bases, that implies we're talking a custom core. The Dev could add fuel and ammo into the treasure set (and tweak the spawn probabilities?).

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

I stand corrected 16 minutes if this get's implemented.

If you're running out of ammo, Then you should be getting kills, If you're getting kills you're getting ammo/fuel, simple.

Yeah there's also not alot of variety in DM. With other FPS, you have lots of different weapons/tools to work with and the terrain to hide behind and use part of your strategy. Using different weapons with particular types of terrain makes things more complex for the FPS. Plus other crazy stuff like teleports that stay open permanently, etc.

In Alleg, DM's end up taking place in open space. You only have guns, a couple missiles, and ints/figs to choose from. The closest thing you have to terrain is hiding around an asteroid, which isn't terribly exciting. Would be different if you had asteroid caverns to fly around in (like Descent). Also, radar eliminates the ability to sneak upon your opponent and shoot them in the back at point blank. Ships are also tougher so you opponent always has a chance to turn around and fire back. There's no ability to insta-kill someone.

So it's even more boring to DM in Alleg than most if not all FPSs.
