which one? There's now at least 4 custom voice packs out there, and it isn't clear that they are all compatible.

They are all compatible. Just use them in the right order, I believe. I don't see whats so annoying about having fun either . . . suit yourselves.

Maybe we'll save that one for R5 /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
But see, I don't want to see this in my chat:

Code: Select all

Voob: Giggity giggity giggity giggity.
Voob: Giggity giggity giggity giggity.
Voob: Giggity giggity giggity giggity.

Because to date, no one has added a useful chat pack. If someone gets off their ass and adds a *useful* pack, we can probably consider adding it to the default chats. That way, we all have it.
WhiskeyGhost wrote:QUOTE (WhiskeyGhost @ Jul 21 2007, 04:29 PM) i may be releasing a VC pack (and even have a few personal ones for my use only), but i can see how this is useful.
The reson people want this mod is BECAUSE you are releasing a new pack. Some of us really, really don't care what the pack contains.

Not everyone has the same definition of 'fun'. For me, seeing Quagmire say "Giggity giggity giggity giggity." on Family Guy is fun. Hearing it 40 times an hour in Allegiance is not fun.

Hey, I tried. Remember this?

Yeah, I REALLY REALLY DO NOT want to see text for chats UNLESS I can set it on a per chat basis, which means it would have to be something in the chat index or individual mdls. This would have to be a command line or text edit thing, i.e. an in game gui to set things would be too complex and a waste of time to code up I think.

The few chat's that I'd want to see text for already have 'orders' attached to them. Like 'Attack my target'.

Yeah problem is for some reason no one wants to support this stuff. My opinion is we should have a group like for the community core project working on a community quick chat project. They would put together important chats that are lacking right now and make them official. Then the new MDL's would be pushed out. You could push out a few "official" variations and have them be pushed out along with the default pack. They could be selectable in game along with a "custom" option that allows you to manually add your own pack that will never be overwritten.
