Yes, except that the newbies may not know what the ranks mean and may not realise that they're actually doing it. The voobs have no such excuse.

Im getting tired of hearing all the garbage about newbie bashing. IT DOESNT EXIST!!!!!

As an @ALLEG, i keep my eye out for it and HONESTLY, i spend more time telling the little newb kiddies who discover the VC's to shut up than asking vets to ease up on the newbs, in fact, i cant remember EVER having to stick up for a newb. Not saying i didnt have to do it, but i dont remember doing it.

There IS IDIOT bashing, which i condone. But as for NEWBIE bashing, sorry but it just isnt there.

The only people who have low ranks that get bashed are:

1) IDIOT VC SPAMMERS- I BAN THEM with little warning now.
2) IDIOTS who stop donating - they get warned then booted- i condone this
3) IDIOTS WHO ROXXORS AT STARCRAFT-- you know..
4) IDIOT kids who think they just pwn

see the list? no newbs in it at all

This community goes out of its WAY to help new players, if they chose not to take advantage of the resources available to them, then they get the wrath of teh community ( harold, BoG ring a bell). We do MORE for the newbs than ANY OTHER ONLINE GAMING COMMUNITY ive EVER seen.

Its up to the new players to utilize ALL of the resources available to them.

You have not even revealed who you really are, so in game if you see me, you should message me and go "oh hey i'm that guy on the forum who was tlaking about stacking and respect:" and then i wont have an issue. Until you make an effort to talk to people, you will be one more nameless noob/voob who doesnt know what they are talking about

One last item to add here. Most of the above responses I approve of. But there is one misconception that has become more and more prevalant.

Games on the NEWBIE servers (or most other small games of less than 10 people) have nothing to do with the real games on the "main servers".

I have been flooded recently with complaints about actions on the newbie servers by players ranked 4-7. The newbies think these guys are the vets. They are NOT. I know most newbs don't read our forums. But on the long shot they do, those games and actions have nothing to do with the mainstay community.

I have noticed a trend recently where more and more smaller games are being played on misc servers. Nothing is wrong with this in my opinion. We seem to have an influx of newer players who wish to continue to play high setting small games. That is their choice. But be very aware that is not the main focus of our community. We tend to prefer more competitive, larger games, that require a higher degree of skill and team coordination.

i like joining the stacked side. makes for a fun game esp when i think of how i felt and how they must feel on the other side, as they are losing and getting whored so bad that most of them end up /ragequit (or alt+F4). yes im an arse, but you guys helped me become the kind of alleg player i am today.

If you like to join the stacked side, why do you join my team when I am commanding? I am pretty sure I have an anti-stack forcefield pinned to my vital organs.

personally i try to command only with AB on, if the other commander agrees. some people seem to think that Autobalance is more like Autostack, but i´ve seen pretty good results. If people used it more, it would make ranks representative of skill eventually.

And regarding the value of your oppinion here, most people will weight both your ability, your reputation and your time here. which you don´t have (yet). Especially if you have an annonymous account on the forum.

Well, I am a supporter of AB to a certain degree, but in its current state it is completely useless.

Im sure that you could name a few low rank people that are great, and a few high rank people that are just decent, or definitely not worth 3 people's points.

not using ab is approving stacking. if you want to see it from other PoV, not helping to balance ranks, which lead to stacking.

That is something nobody seems to get. AB isn't working as long as it isn't used.
Only AB will get underrated players up and overrated players down.
