Much as I'd love to, I can't take credit for that one, it's part of Alleg's deep and dark past.

Why rofl? There are plenty of games that can provide "..years of years..." of content. You can make almost any game provide you with these years, if you're patient, imaginative, and hardcore.

Koreans and Starcraft (*NSFW website*), the "kiddy game" that is Super Smash Brothers Melee, etc.

Edit: Okay, so maybe SSBM isn't really an RTS... <_<

I rofl'd because he said that Allegiance was little more than your average space sim.

I'd have to disagree with people who say SC is simple. It's been almost 9 years, and the metagame is still changing. There are countless builds, counterbuilds, and each of those keeps going on and on. The only reason the races get imbalanced is when players have gosu micro and can repair their units on-the-spot, and avoid lurker hits. Zerg loses out, because their units heal slowly and it independently. Protoss is next-best, becuase only their shields heal, but they do so faster than zerg, and you can use shield batteries. Also, protoss just have more HP. Terran is the best race hands-down, because they can repair/heal any unit with a combo of SCV/medic.

Allegiance is a totally different game, and it's just as complicated, but for other reasons. Also, the game itself keeps changing, which might even make it more difficult than SC. SC is so balanced that any change to any race would have drastic consequences. Allegiance isn't balanced at all, but new game play elements can be added, so new strategies emerge.

Damnit, you made me go download an emulator and the original smash bros. I've been playing for 7 hours straight. I want my time back you bastard!

Starcraft is easily as complicated as Allegiance. One advantage of starcraft, however, is the ease of customizability for unique gameplay (See Use Map Settings games).

Vanilla starcraft may get a little tiring for some people who don't fully understand its nuances. Allegiance on it's face is tiring for many people who don't understand it's nuances. When you throw in the variety of Starcraft Use Map Settings games, though, I'd say SC easily is as complex as Allegiance.
