All you need to say is "PK me please". /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
But so true... maybe the psychology is "people with high kb get noticed and hence would get targeted by more people in an ocassion, resulting in a PK" but when you think about it, it's sorta a translation from FPS's in which the killed loses all equipment (and is back t the basic handgun) while the killer gets to keep his rocketlauncher.
Meh, maybe I need to go beyond "Doom" examples.
Allegiance with no KB

I really don't know who is spreading this notion that dogfighting isn't the most important skill or part of the game, but i wish they would stop, it has been proven time and time again that dogfighting is the only important skill that there is. If someone tells you otherwise, you should ignore anything they say as they know nothing about allegiance or how to win allegiance games.
You and I dont play the same game or 'dogfighting' doesnt have the same meaning for you.Elephanthead wrote:QUOTE (Elephanthead @ Apr 29 2007, 06:11 AM) I really don't know who is spreading this notion that dogfighting isn't the most important skill or part of the game, but i wish they would stop, it has been proven time and time again that dogfighting is the only important skill that there is. Killing nans/bomber/sbs/htt/cons/miners isnt dogfighting.
Generally, killing an ennemy who is not targeting you or who cant harm you isnt dogfighting.
So this leaves, in conquest type games, very rare situations where dogfighting skills are required.

The Cylon God has tasked all Allegiance players with the task of ULTIMATE WHORAGE. KB is only your Gospel Power! All non-whores are 'UMIES FROM KOBOL!
My idol is Tyrol, because he is a Cylon AND he boned Boomer. Aww shea.
(Besides, the best whores are also great overall players, and many of them command to boot)

It was designed into the game. KB not only rewards the pilot who has it, but also puts a target on them the higher it gets. (Yin / Yang thing) Also, it was designed so if there is a 2/1 situation--or more--the lone pilot stands a better chance to defend himself against the other. As far as bombers having KB, why do you think there is a way to promote gunners? /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Again, it was designed into the game. It all works.
Personally, I think all games should start at 0 as opposed to 10. This would force teams to really team up on conns and miners at the beginning.

KB was designed to add more realism to the game, although it a roundabout fashion.
With no KB, there will be no pod kills. Ever. (except noobs)
-In a real war, you would be very tempted to kill any and all enemy pods so those soldiers can't come back and kill you instead.
- With KB, players are faced with the dilemma: Do you let the pod float to keep the player out of the battle for the next few minutes, or do you kill them to remove the kb influence? This is reminiscent of the conflict a real soldier faces: do you follow the geneva convention and let the ejected pilot land, or do they kill them while you the chance?
With no KB, you'd have absolutely no desire to preserve your own life.
-If you are in a pod with a 43kb, you might actually start to sweat little when you see the int that podded you turn around for another pass.
With no KB, there is less need to pickup pods.
-A high kb on a downed player adds more excitement to walking a scout 2 sectors to pick them.
-Without KB you might as well just turn ff on and kill friendly pods with quickfires to get them home faster, since there would be no difference bewteen dying and being rescued.
In short, while kill bonus may not make much sense physically, it is included in the game to elicit more realistic emotions and attitudes in players.
