QUOTE (Anguirel)I'll give you the run down on every single discussion:
Arbitrary Senator: Hey, we should do something.
Grimm: Sounds good. How about this? *insert a few numbers*
Ang: Not complicated enough. Here *insert complex flowchart accompanied by several incomprehensible equations*
Lee: o_O Why do I even bother coming in here anymore? *disappears for another 5 months*
Agri: I hate change.
TheBored: What do you mean, Agri? It isn't like this would stop anything, it just makes things easier. Won't you support it even if you can ignore the change if desired?
Agri: No.
Thal: Uh, do we have to make it so complex?
Ang: Yes. *insert even less comprehensible system here*
Pook: Psst, I already implemented it in a much saner fashion, so write up a vote quick so you look like you're doing work.
A bit off-topic, but from Wikipedia's article on SwitzerlandLykourgos wrote:QUOTE (Lykourgos @ Apr 23 2007, 01:28 AM) Direct democracy in practice, so far as I know, has never ever worked. At all.
QUOTE Switzerland is the closest state in the world to a direct democracy. For any change in the constitution, a referendum is mandatory; for any change in a law, a referendum can be requested. Through referenda, citizens may challenge any law voted by federal parliament and through initiatives introduce amendments to the federal constitution, making Switzerland a direct democracy.
another question:
if were using the asgs pool more often to get community ideas, is the system going to be extended for multiple options?
as i understand it asgs polls only allow 2 options,
A
B
(and ask me later)
will it be extended to allow more options if needed?
i'm just thinking a ZL may want to ask people something more than a yes / no

Still doesnt solve issue #1 which is 'core (.igc) developement' and what the community really wants in 'cores'.

Does this extend that core devs should be ZLs too and that they WILL/MUST use the ASGS polling system to get feedback about the changes they do to core files ?

No, the polls are designed for major issues. The core devs already have their own forums where they get pounded by the community. Anyway, if the community doesn't like a core, it doesn't get played on. Technically, the Dev Zone Lead is responsible. But what core dev is going to do a major change against the community wishes? Not one in his right mind!
One last edit... Some where someone made a comment today about if people care about an issue, they will be active in the forum that covers it. Which is so true!

Always in the Shadows...
With Emperor Thal's decision to disband the Senate and allow the regional governors direct control over their sectors, we of the Rebel Alliance do formally declare our existence in the Rants forum and invite all open minded individuals to attend our rabble rousing discussions!

I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday
