Hey, I'm a newbie.. just in case somebody is really looking for someone to "adopt"..

.. although I am not the one who will be playing 40 hours a week.. more like around 5 ...
.. still.. I am usually playing around 23:00 .. (GMT+1)

Excellent! Some veteran grab him before a voob (me) does.

I would help you, but I normally dont play at those hours.

I am a once vet (4, 5 years ago?) who is just returning. When MS stopped supporting Alleg and it went to the players, I was able to play for awhile. Eventually using (insert name of "LAN" program here) would not work for me, and then at the university, they block a lot of the ports, and so I couldnt play here. Until the new version came out! (Thanks a lot btw, forgot how much I used to love this game).

But damn, the game has changed. Last I was here Belt and Rix were brand new! Who are these other people?!

Anyways, lot to relearn, but it's coming back quick enough. Will just need to find a quiet place to remember how to comm again...eventually.

After the training missions join @cadet.

@cadet is a free community supported training program to help new players become trained and competent pilots.

In @cadet pilots learn community survival skills, in addition to how to pilot ships of different factions, all that plus we'll teach you important game concepts - you'd never learn through trail and error.

P.S. Myotis, I suggest you don't get adopted by a voob and instead join the @cadet program.

I already joined the @Cadet program, but that is starting in a couple of weeks and I thought I might learn something until then. I am still very new to the game, having only played a couple of games..

I partly put up my "application" here.. so that if I meet anybody on the game servers who read this.. they will know, that I am looking for help..

Still it looks like this is a very supportive community. Thanks for the advice!
