QUOTE you consider a ping of 50-70 some noteworhy lag? what kind of man are you?

and WFT are you thinking, how does our pings go when we play on US servers? and how many pilots have been complaining on those damned US servers that keep tham lagging too much to play.[/quote]

There are two things on the Alt-F thingo. Lag and Ping. Random means his ping shoots through the roof, even here in Australia I get a ping of 1-7...any more and it is completely unplayable.

LOL, stupid Europeans, moving the game across the pond!!! How dare they! Time for another revolutionary war!

Nice work to the ppl who set them up- my ping is a little higher but bc they are actually capable of handling the load (the other servers seem to be a little slow and their gamefu is weak) I see less hopping...

or maybe the Euros are just hopping less and my superior US High Speed can get across the pond!

ok, despite how funny I think I am, nice work to the ppl who set up these servers!
They often hold boob fighting competitions and battle for the coveted Golden Bra of Nippal.

Nice work guys, not that is actually active I can play on it with no noticeable increase in issues. I am in Green Bay, WI. Only time I have actually noticed lag is when 30+ ships in a sector.

I actualy have pretty much exactly the same lag on this server as thal, little more than planet. No problems thus far, lag under 80 most of the time.

Canadian connection ftw!

ImmortalZ wrote:QUOTE (ImmortalZ @ Jan 16 2007, 02:14 PM) I've played for 3 years at 500 lag (33.6kbps), 2 years at 300 lag (114kbps CDMA) and the last year or so at 180 lag (ADSL). The euro servers give me 120/150 lag. Either way, I get a smoother experience than the US servers.

If you can't handle 70 lag, you seriously have problems.

Also, when US people have better experience on the EU servers than the Planet servers, it is time to acknowledge that Zapper/pkk/Grimm did some good work.

Now, time to STFU and Play © Thalgor.
This requires the dredging up of an old favorite:

(edit -- whoops. Cort was right. I *did* forget to give credit. ^That^ is Pook's handywork.)

I have slight lag at times (notable when turreting something and when many things are going on in sector - QFs, lots of prox humpers, many ships, etc) but for nearly halfway around the world, it's not that bad. I play from olympia, WA, USA and get slightly higher 'lag' (80-100) on the EU server than on the Planet servers (50-65)
