OMG - MadPeoples this is freak'n awesome. Way to go buddy. It's nice to finally see that an Art and model area has been openned up for the community. I remeber a while back we had tried many times to have this idea put into action. This is what I image looking out od a base window might look like as a battle took place just outside.
The lighter area is for people who have icons they like to keep on the desktop, this provides a place
for the most used ones. IMAGE size is 1142x847


This next image overlooks Pluto the planet from a rather large astroid base with a dome over this area
for viewing the sky. And, Where did that dog come from? O,o Image Size is 1304x985

Okay, seriously this is driving me nuts. How are you making those nebulas?

well

i use the standard photoshop clouds texture on a brush and then set it to multiply or screen and pick a nice color and brush around, while varying brush sizes. then add some lens flares and black spheres as planets and paste in a bunch of ships changing their color a bit to the nebulas ambient color. it's really just fiddling around with it.
