What year do you predict the Alleg servers to go offline FOREVER?
Basically I'm guessing that they will have a small internet browser integrated into your pod.madpeople wrote:QUOTE (madpeople @ Oct 5 2006, 04:50 PM) why would i want to play alleg 2 when it will cost me money, FAZ will be awesome, and alleg 2 couldn't touch alleg 1?
So... you all know what *that* means...

"Dude, stop corpsing up the place. Jesus."MrChaos wrote:QUOTE (MrChaos @ Oct 5 2006, 05:04 PM) Alleg dies for me the day I say, 'Meh, Alleg' * shrug *
So it's up to everyone to not let that happen
MrChaos <--- hopes everyone is up to the task
Well or I die, because playing when your dead would just piss off a LOT of people.

Alleg has already become a 'classic'. I predict it will remain as long as the code still executes on modern operating systems (an emulation mode is fine as long as it easy to install or enter into).

"Alleg 2: Better graphics, better game engine, 5 new features, 50 new bugs, and some of the old bugs thrown back in. Get it today!"
Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

If it had the same gameplay but better graphics, I'd play it.
And taking out that asteroid, the last time somone tried taking out a rock with bombers and fighters, they got $#@!ing OWNED. Better not to make a giant machine that throws massive rocks at the planet you live on, methinks.
Then again, we use nuclear power, so a giant rock throwing machine doesn't seem that far fetched after all. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

Another would be Star Control 2.
