Have you added the rule from available rules to applied rules in the port forwarding screen?
Alright I see what you are saying now. I just tried to do that. But my rule although saved in the Custom Port Forwarding page when I go to click on that, it is there, but nothing listed as allegiance is in the availible rules list...

Can you post a screen shot of the router configuration screen where you have alleg set up and where you try to make it an active rule?

You might try updating the firmware or resetting the router. From your description you are doing things correctly.

It does not necessarily need to be named allegiance. It's whatever name you entered under the application field. It will work with any name as long as the settings are correct.

Here's the screen shot of the page where I was told I needed to add it to the active rules

and the form filled out

Sorry Agno, short of updating your router's firmware, I don't know how to fix this.

Thanks again. Hoping something works /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
Well after looking around in the applied rule, I saw that in the group, users, there was a "new" button that I saw. So clicked that and added allegiance as the name, then for the different ports, port start (2300) port finish (2400) and port map (2300). Tried Alleg still didn't work. I'll look into trying what you suggested ImmortalZ tomarrow morning when I wake up. If anyone thinks up anything new. Feel free to add to the montage of idea's!

The problem is once again , that your router grabs a selection of 100 ports and maps it to a single local port. Allegiance does not work that way, it needs at least two ports...

Hmm,

DXPort FTW.

Use DXPort, reduce the 100 to two ports.

Create two mappings, each with a single port mapping to another single port.

That is, enter 2300 in from and to fields and 2300 in the map to field.
Do this again for 2301.

This should make it work.

Just to let you know, this is my first time ever working with ports and directing or forwarding them. So thats why some things I don't understand and its taking a little while I'm sure. Also no clue how to do that up there. I'm thinking thats the same thing ImmortalZ gave me directions to do. I made New Rules, on the Rules page. I'm going to do the same thing with the custom rule when I get back home from work.

Here's a screen shot of what I did. I made two rules, they are both identicle other than the port being 2300 instead of 2301
