Maybe a repost, but i must say, this review of our beloved game is rediculous.

as a newb, I think at the end of the day Alleg. varies on people. Some people like and some don't and that's just the way it is based on the genre of the game. All of my friends wonder why I would like to play such a 'boring' game and no matter how much I tell them about the amazing parts they will not understand because that is not what they are looking for in a game. So either you hate it, or you like a lot.
The reviewers problem is he was expecting something different.

I thought you used green space walruses to kill miners and cons?

SFs shoot the pink unicorns, they just move so fast you cant see them.
Mad? Oh yes, quite mad.

Vader shot the nans first.

A quick search for his name shows no other articles written by him, long career I guess.

Here is a page with alot of reviews on allegiance when it came out.

Figure theres always one. Someone who has to go against the norm. I can recall Gamespot and all the mainstream gaming sites giving Allegiance much love in reviews. Its still listed among the ten best games you've never played on gamespot if I recall correctly. Forget this guy, his review, and whatever he writes for.

Here are some of the real reviews scoring Allegiance as:

IGN ** 8.2 / 10 May 4, 2000
GameSpy ** 86 / 100 Apr 21, 2000
Gaming Age ** A- Sep 5, 2004
PC Game World ** 91 / 100 May 4, 2002
Adrenaline Vault ** 4.5 / 5 Jun 16, 2000
Game Revolution ** B May 24, 2000
GameZone ** 9 / 10 Apr 21, 2000
Da GameBoyz ** 8.2 / 10 Jul 9, 2004
Electric Playground ** 7 / 10 Apr 16, 2004
Game Industry News ** 4 / 5 Aug 31, 2000
Games First! ** 4 / 5 Jul 31, 2000
Firing Squad ** 93 / 100 Jun 1, 2000
Game Over Online ** 85 / 100 Apr 21, 2000
Glide Underground 4.5 / 5 Jan 1, 1980

Computer Games Mag ** 4.5 / 5 Apr 26, 2000
PC Zone UK 82 / 100 Aug 13, 2001

Theres also a nice (larger) list of review scores at GameRankings.
