Let's take away all of the pencils, that'll solve all of the bad grades.
Let's take away all of the cars, that'll solve all of the traffic accidents.

Am I doing this right?
No, you're messing it right at the start by drawing a false analogy between firearms and knives. Then you go entirely off the mental cliff.

I'm pretty sure I did it right.

Adept views the world entirely based on statistics he pulls off of Google.
Except when it comes to minorities or women, because that's racist and sexist and bigoted.
(like when Cam posted the statistics/study on how men are naturally better drivers than women, Adept would no longer comment, after calling me sexist for making such a claim)

try leaving your house sometime. Better yet, try leaving Finland. better yet, leave your continent.
go to Compton for a day and IF you survive, tell me again how the blacks there are your equal (and not racist), and how you were safer by not having a gun, and if there were more gun laws the gangbangers wouldn't have guns.

you know absolutely nothing about anything

and disarms the marines so they don't kill him for being a tool

we need more killing around here

Nice selective memory there.

QUOTE try leaving your house sometime. Better yet, try leaving Finland. better yet, leave your continent.
Funny thing. I have done all of those things. I rather suspect you haven't.

QUOTE you know absolutely nothing about anything
Adorable. The well educated, world wise Masta crafting a masterly Ad Hominem. I wonder if you actually have a point here? These rantings and the google comment rather tells me you didn't even look at the BBC article I linked to, much less read it. Did it not fit your worldview? Do you realise that the quotes were not me speaking, but from the Swiss people interviewed?

I'd have a battle of wits with you Masta, but it's no fun against an unarmed opponent. If you actually have something sane and grown up to say, try presenting the argument without the macho bluster and posturing.

I've been out of the country, I've been to multiple countries actually, and I still agree with a scary number of Masta's theories and ideas (not all of them thank god). I don't think travelling means much unless you're sheltered to a ridiculous degree.

He said he's left his country, this is the internet so we have no way to check that but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. That means that the travelling point is irrelevant in the argument.

In other news, I competed in a Rimfire field rifle comp last weekend and scored a miserable 283.1 out of a possible 404. (bullseyes get you an extra 0.1 point incase you are wondering)

My PB is 337.

Top score out of the 40 competitors was 367.

I have some work to do on my 25m Off Hand, 25m Rapid Fire and 50m Standing post.

Good news was there were 4 junior competitors who werent scared away by all the fearmongering about 'you must be a psycho if you are a shooter'

oh, and I tried to get my daughter into archery...but $500 for a start up archery set, $300 per annum membership fees plus $5 range fee

vs

my rifle clubs membership of $75 plus $5 range fee and say $10 in ammo per month means that I think target shooting will win out.
