The vote went poorly because it was a democrat who went off half-cocked. Notice how the majority of Democrats didn't even vote to impeach.

No president has ever been removed from office by the senate after impeachment by the house and it's not likely to start now.

But I have high hopes mostly because I'm bored and I need the lulz. I wonder if people would be much more content with Mike Pence taking over for Trump?
Probably, because he's actually a politician.

Trump is not the savior of America, the democrats, the republicans, or anyone else - just himself. I don't get why republicans rally around him so much when he's not even very conservative in the first place. In fact he's desperately liberal in a lot of aspects.

i rather have trump than pence, with trump it is much harder to predict and i like that
pence is too easy to read

Trump is more liberal than the Clintons but the democrats rallied around Hillary just the same as did the republicans with Trump.
