Talking about reading the thread - Many people have stated that it´s very easy to unlink accounts.

I have read the thread, and I did read that it is easy to unlink accounts, and *GASP* I still think BV was rash. Imagine that.

Someone should correct what happens when you play on a different computer. My understanding is that those computers become linked such that any nick that plays on either computer becomes associated with the main nick. So basically what juckto was worried about was if Arkof's gf playing that she would not be a newb but would basically look like juckto. It would count against juckto's callsign limit as well. They also couldn't play at the same time.

TheBored wrote:QUOTE (TheBored @ Jan 5 2009, 04:55 PM) This is a terrible response. The last thing we should ever say to a frustrated vet leaving is "HAH, finally!" There are a ton of reasons that people are leaving... we should try our best to limit these as best we can. We've seen a 30%(ish) drop in our active playerbase in the past year. The LAST thing we should be saying is "don't let the door hit you in your ass".

I've talked with BV and I'm satisfied with what went down. Not ideal but whatever. One thing that still needs fixing is this $#@!ing terrible thing I keep seeing, the general "Anti-stack" community telling the people that disagree with them to just leave the community. Stop. It.

"Don't let the door hit you in the ass" was the right response since:
LordDelacroix wrote:QUOTE (LordDelacroix @ Jan 5 2009, 09:46 AM) I won't play anymore and I've stopped telling people about this game. I'm embarrassed to even be a part of it anymore.
Then leave already if your embarrassed. Stop spewing @#(! on those who chose to stay and give their time (while you aren't covered in feces it does include guys just like you TB). Things are bad already without losing the endless support you top gents give to the game. Please note I did NOT say that to YP, who obviously holds a strong opinion against the action, who I'm not exactly on the warmest terms, but who volunteers his time to help.

I agree and completely, I've got many reasons why I haven't played but 3-4 days in about the last 3 months. Anyone ask me? Lord knows I'm no shrinking violet and you might be shocked to find out I'm pretty fart smellow err smart fellow. I've volunteered no info since a) I don't put in the time to make demands and b) what good would it do other then to be a whiny little bitch. So really if you and other top dogs wants my thoughts then set up a TeamSpeak evening, lock the room and Ill give you the unvarnished views of one MrChaos.

Finally:

Errm if this wasn't meant for me then you should have said so since my response to LordSomethingOrTheOther was meant exactly as I typed and had NOTHING to do with stacking since I sincerely don't know if the guy was a stacker, anti-stacker, your best friend, or if Ive even flown with the person before in a game.

So, sincerely, your jumping to conclusions, putting thoughts in my head and the next time you want to hold me up specifically as a reason the community has lost 30% of it's membership you might want to think before you type. or as you put it just:

Stop. It.

Unless all the inters were playing in the vet game (and why wouldn't they?)
Your_Persona wrote:QUOTE (Your_Persona @ Jan 7 2009, 05:03 PM) ... Uhh.. by your argument we should begin getting lots of new euro people with the current way things are run... But you dont see the euro time zone playerbase growing do you...
I don't see any part of the playerbase growing just now. I attribute that far more to the graphics problems and ASGS insisting on being on the C drive than to the admin attitude. Last year when the community was actively growing in all timezones the same rules were in place.
Your_Persona wrote:QUOTE (Your_Persona @ Jan 7 2009, 05:03 PM) You also state we would lose 'Many' players from that time zone... But if there are 'Many' players.. there there must be enough to have two games going ehh?.. So either there are only a Few.. Or there are Enough for two games. You can't have many and not enough for two games.
I've always figured on there being about 1/3 of the community who play mostly in the Euro time games. I don't know the demographics to be sure but it seems about right. Is shutting off any potential for growth in any timezone really a good idea? Vets leave because they grow up, get jobs, have kids and get on with RL. Those of us who do hang about love the game enough to dedicate a portion of our shrinking spare time to it. Not everyone is going to choose to do that. To keep numbers steady we need a constant influx of new players. Make the game any more inaccessible to new players and you really just have to wait until it's impossible to play any games at all and the lights go out for the final time.

I think there are more than three separate arguments going on between different people on different topics in the same thread.

A lost cause, is what I read from him since his forum name registers with me hardly at all, maybe he plays under a different name? Read his words as he wrote them and see it from the view that here was a guy who isn't playing, won't play, and is embarrassed to be here. It was snarky tbs, rude absolutely but, hell it's solid advice since he has already LEFT and simply chimed in to lay a turd.

TB my friend Ive not shared much of anything with you regarding this game or community. You have little idea about what I think on most matters not related to HELO sucked [ it does ] and AS is better [ it is ]. Matter of fact if you remember back in my RT days, I did talk with you and listened to your opinions closely. Funny I find your opinions in most matters are quite cut and dry with little room for discussion... your not a dunderhead tbs so I tend to consider what you say in all matters even when I disagree with your thoughts.

Brutal enforcement? Really? Brutal? A misunderstanding between Juckto and BV that ended up in his getting a ban he might not have deserved that I'll buy but "brutal"... oh please. Get a grip. Stop making all that you disagree with on this matter about me, a guy who generally posts nonsense in an effort to end drama, hell I generally try to give the newest guys who are on their way to a beat down a warning BEFORE the community hates on them. I do this over and over. First it was because I was an "anti-stacker" now it's because I'm for "brutual enforcement". * buzzer noise * No TB it was simply because I felt he was being a troll on his way out the door.

TB you need a break. Your attitude is pretty negative ,your very argumentative lately, and your enforcement of the forums is to heavy handed... that sucks to hear that doesn't it? What would I gain by saying that to you in this forum other then to give you a *smack* and make myself feel better? The end result is this kind of stupid $#@!ing thread and a bunch of people saying over the top, stupid, @#(!ty things to each other. I'm $#@!ing sick of this stuff and FINALLY lashed out at some dickwad who has already left bashing one of the guys who keeps the game running. Now if he isn't leaving, and simply used a poor choice of words then I apologize but to make him the poster child for this entire matter and cast me as the villian doesn't have much legs to me.

BTW TB the bit about your attitude and such was simply me making a point and not what I actually think.

MrChaos

edit: added " and not what I actually think " so it was crystal clear what I meant

Yes, you have. I'd gladly show logs if I still had that hard drive.

QUOTE Brutal enforcement stuff
I meant that in his opinion its brutal. After some odd years in this community, it isn't hard to imagine.

I know the next part was to make a point but I will still respond:
QUOTE TB you need a break. Your attitude is pretty negative ,your very argumentative lately, and your enforcement of the forums is to heavy handed
I would hope that if anyone honestly believed this they would talk to me. I'm completely open to criticism and willing to defend any post I've made.

QUOTE edit: added " and not what I actually think " so it was crystal clear what I meant
The clarification helped ;)

I spared most of my reply because a PM from MrC seems to imply that he is done posting in this thread. No need writing all of it out if a reply won't follow :P
