Why do you think no one plays in that timeslot anymore?

It was a good time to play even pre-Denga. I used to have a job that allowed me to play a lot at that time of day, and there was a solid crew that made it fun. Immy, Titty and Globe were regular US members of the morning crew.

That's where I learnt how to play Allegiance! I remember globey trying to tell me that Tombombadil was a 6year old kid who's parents spoilt him rotten. Being the impressionable newbie, I believed him.

Maybe you came to Alleg after that timeslot started its slow but steady decline (I could name a very specific list of names responsible for it, but that would probably make my post a personal attack in your eyes again), I don't really remember. It's just that these games were among the funnest Alleg experiences for us, so naturally when someone comes and claims "these are 3am games, you can't expect anything but @#(!", it tends to push our buttons the wrong way - because we remember a time where we could, in fact, expect something good.

Sorry for beating a dead horse, it's just a matter of some importance to me.
Only about a year ago, you could find some decent games on euro primetime -- they might have been small, but they were fun and fairly even. I live in eastern time zone of north america. I used to have a job where I could play in the EST AM or in the EST early to mid afternoon. Sure, there were slow days, esp in the morning, and the crappy ping for many euros was a problem, but the games were actually quite good until probably August or September of last summer.

Then, you'd log on, take a look at the noob stack slaughter and quickly log off. Who has fun doing that? Other than the 5 - 10 voob / vets who liked the whorage, that is.

It was also frustrating to see just how much glee some folks took in pounding nubbins into the ground. It is also frustrating to NOT see some of those same nubbins playing here today.

Auto balance is a logical solution to the stack problem we have. If you don't think so, please re-read ALL of Ksero's posts in this thread. Don't be afraid to change because it is something different. Embrace the change as a way to improve the game and your gaming experience.
