The game is $hlT. Those hosting this game are $hit. Those "developing" this game are $hit. You are seeing the results of their work and you're looking for solutions as to why it isn't working. It's broken beyond repair and you and what's left of the rest of this community, lack the skills to even detect the bugs and hacks that screwed this game over.

The game is DEAD. Let me rephrase that,....THE GAME IS D.E.A.D.

deal with it and uninstall like everyone else did.
Plz stop posting. Unless you wanna do/say something that would add to the gaming community, you are better away from here.

If your opinion is that the game is dead and everyone should uninstall it, stop lurking the forums to check if we are still here.

You're welcome to skip over my posts. It's your option.

I say these things every time someone posts a thread about rebuilding allegiance, getting allegiance on steam, getting allegiance ownership from MS, getting allegiance players to return, getting allegiance moved to new sites or new management or new hosts...blah, blah, blah

Every ridiculous "solution" that has been introduced over and over and over and over and over....only demonstrates the complete lack of insight as to why the damn thing went down the drain in the first place.

Hi,

It's been 4 years since the last time I played alleg.
Still decided to check what's going on with this great game with no players.

Was quite suprised to see this topic and got interested in it too:
Game community that I tought would be barely alive is now ambitiously planning to go on steam greenlight! :D

So what's holding you from asking steam if it's possible for us to publish a noncommercial game on their website?

Doesn't the "Scope of rights" on MS license say: "You may also distribute this Software with books or other teaching materials, or publish the Software on websites,
that are intended to teach the use of the Software for academic or other non-commercial purposes"

As I understand this: FreeAllegiance has rights to publish the game (that's what you have been doing anyway) as long as you meet and follow MS license requirements.
However license requirements clearly prohibit any commercial use of the game and derivative works of it.

So isn't it all about steam if they can be part of that without it being commercial. Otherwise you need permission from MS.

So just get on with it, they'll tell us if it's not doable
You are doing great job!

From what I've looked at there is no Free to Play game on Steam that doesn't have some commercial element, many of which are either DLC or (like TF2) in-game items that cost money. Steam is a business, and I don't see them taking on Allegiance unless it can make them some money.

No...but it looks like it may be worth a try:

http://www.gog.com/indie

It does look like they want some kind of income, though.
