Is that just me or did we had much more even games since those bans. I am speaking of those games were neither side was able to walk over the other within a couple of minutes. It actually required hard work and a focused team effort to win those stalemates which made them quite entertaining and competitive.

Not saying its the right way but I am just curious how other people perceived that.

ps: sometimes the best way to get people to effectively antistack the weaker team is to piss them off /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

Next time, just post a big $#@!ing message on General instead of ruining about a hundred people's day.
I wonder how many people's day I ruined?

Perhaps you should talk to Joseph1 and the others.

The few I've played have definitely been very balanced. Yet another problem arises with good balance is that people start to lose interest after the 3rd hour and the games indeed become stalemates. Maybe we're just not used to those. Maybe I just was unlucky and got into the rather slow matches.

Are you kidding? There's nothing better than a 3 hour slug fest, unless of course the only reason it's a 3 hour slug fest is because both sides are increadibly inept at utilizing game ending tech. Those are just bozo annoying.

There were some pretty damn good games over the past weekend.

EDIT:

I think that we ought to thank TE and BV.

Why are we banning people for stacking but not banning people like BoG?
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

You got a lot of people worked up like myself, Ozzy, Monkage and a few others as well. I wouldn't say I "Take This Game Seriously" but I try not to suck and play a decent game, if that's what you're actually getting at.

If you've heard me on TS when I'm commanding, you know I don't like to get worked up. And yes, I will get worked up over Allegiance because it rocks. I cannot say the same for 80% of the other games out there, and I like my gaming. I may only do a few hours every week over Friday - Monday, but it's an immensely enjoyable past-time nonetheless. I wasn't worried I was going to get banned for stacking, I was worried that a great deal of players I enjoy playing with would get banned and thus make this game suck.

Allegiance is a hobby that I enjoy. You wouldn't call out someone for being "too serious" about basketball, or sports, would you? Music? Art? Exactly. I don't want to lose this hobby as much as I wouldn't want to lose another hobby, for example losing my hands in a freak accident meaning I can no longer play piano or play video games in general.

I cannot understand people who tell other people to "chill out cuz it's just a game". Sports are $#@!ing games too, and not ONCE have I heard someone else say to me or another person to relax because sports are just games. I am as serious about Allegiance as I am about other activities I partake in, like studying, having friends, listening to and playing music, WHATEVER. If I got a C+ instead of an A+, I'd be pretty upset. If (and I don't do this btw) I was playing at a recital and $#@!ed up, I'd be pretty upset. If someone stood me up on an outing, I'd be pretty $#@!ing upset.

I have plenty of variety in my day, and Allegiance is but one part, but I wouldn't like to lose it as much as I wouldn't like to suddenly lose what little skill I have in other activities. Just because it's a video game doesn't mean I don't enjoy it any less than other "IRL" things.

*makes hand motion* Psh. Begone!

EDIT: I hope my endless reiteration of this point sticks. Also I only spent about a minute writing it so no time wasted at all stating my personal beliefs, suckers.
