Ryujin: Even known propaganda sources report real world events even if they are biased and/or not 100% true.
Do you read other world news besides what is reported in the US?

badp: All news agencies are sellouts.
Big, splashy headlines sell newspapers, which sells advertising space.
I didn't know you could get paid to read news but I'm not surprised. (I already make a good living and don't need to get paid to do that).

cashto: I know the Russian government owns Sputnik news and it is biased, they still report world events, just with a different point of view.
Just because an American/European news agency reports something and a Russian/Chinese news agency reports the same event, which news agency is more credible or actually telling the truth?

When some event happens all news agencies put their own spin on it depending upon their agenda.
I read different news agency's articles to hopefully come to a reasonable/sensible conclusion about said event.
Because the news is reported with some sort of spin on it, who knows what is actually the truth?

there is a difference between fake facts and outlets who lean on one or the other sides, of the political spectrum.
Sputink gobbles out fake facts.

Sputink gobbles out fake facts.
All news agencies do that.
Some just do it more than others.
Make your own conclusions about what you read and how much of it you believe to be true.

It's a pathetic day and age when I trust British news outlets more than American ones.

This is almost universally not true -- unless you're talking about Sputnik. Sputnik is as much of a journalist as a broken clock: both occasionally say the truth. I'd rather trust a broken clock however.

By putting the BBC and Sputnik in the same bag you grant actual Russian disinformation efforts credibility it very emphatically does not deserve. You are misleading yourself and others, and this is extremely dangerous.

Exactly. Quit being a tool of the propaganda machine.

Seriously, I have never heard of Sputniknews until you posted that link Paps. Now this is what I come across:

The French president accused Russia Today and Sputnik of trying to influence the country's recent elections.
