i must disagree passionately, retro boost is an awesome piece of equipment for scouts, whenever i see it, i pick it up and use it. I've managed to pod rather a large amount of people with the aid of this "toy" plus a few prox, including a couple of bbr runs, not to mention pesky figs and ints.
the use is rather simple... start running away, hit the vector lock, press the back thrust and hit the retro boost, that maneuver allows a scout to go backwards at almost the same speed as forwards, but the great thing is, it makes prox drops be very accurate, a little side thrusting to aim your drop and bam !
If you guys make it even more useful, with greater accel/thrust, it'll be a piece of equipment i'm gonna buy everytime as commander.
it is indeed sad, that many people do not see a very distinct advantage in retro boost.

We'll I am swayed. Based on Voob's testimony all good comms will soon be buying Retro boost!

i do hope lord insect is being sarcastic... inferring (even indirectly) that i'm actually any good with comm would make it grossly inacurate assumption...
all i'm saying is that I (The Voob) would be buying myself retroboost, if it becomes a little more efficient...
and yes, according to my sig, i would be ramming rocks backwards, infact i do it already, but sometimes i survive and need to extra ram it, retro boost will absolutely guarantee my being podded from the very first time ! `4
