How about you tie all Heavy Scouts beside Rix ones to Starbase again? That way you don't have Heavy Scouts running around making Misery Bidness while you're actually trying to end the game one step at a time.

Scenario:
Enemy is Exp with Hvy Scouts
You blow their Starbase
But they still have Heavy Scouts flying around making stealthing EXCEEDINGLY difficult, especially if they have smart pilots or a good commander.

When I blow a major base I want some tech to disappear. Like Hvy Scouts. Then you can work on killing they main base.

Usually:
Enemy is Tacspan.
SBs are killin' yo @#(! but you manage to keep a base next to their Tac alive so you can attack.
Tac is the most prudent target because they're killing you with SBs, not HTTs.
You blow the Tac, SBs go away.
Now you work on they Exp.

NOT THE CASE WITH HVY SCOUTS. THEY WILL BE A THORN IN YOUR SIDE FOR THE REST OF THE GAME. Especially in long games. LONG games.

As for Rix, you can leave em tied to techbase to stop Hvy Scout rushez and so my loved Rix can stay a menace!

I thought killing all normal tech bases removed the heavy scouts? Of course it is a strange dependency.

This thread was long and made my eyes hurt. I put it to you all. Instead of the Mini - AC we give Rixian heavy scouts the ability to drop combat pods/heavy combat pods.

Meh CD1 sucks but would be interesting for the rix tac + hvy scout combo (but why do you need heavy scouts if you have adv sfs????)

Nice idea actually. Also sorry about grouping the QL stuff in the same thread, even thought it did bring out good arguments about them.

Yeah I think the Rix SFs and Hvy Scouts kinda cancel each other out since they are both low sig prober/proxers.

wtf, CD1 on a scout is $#@!ing useless. I see no problem with Rix Hvy Scouts that can't be fixed by giving them more gats like the TF one if you don't like getting whooped by Mini-AC (I don't either). Yes, TF already does it but oh well!

If not then LEAVE 'EM. Rix loses 60% of the time anyway.
