That sounds good to me...the newbs never use the newbie servers anyway.Here's an idea I had:
Perhaps if the admins could be forwarned of a situation,then the bans would be fewer.For instance:
Posted under the "Changed computers" thread: I have been playing on my 6 month old dell with my regular nicks.The machine has developed bugs and I may have to return it to Dell on the warranty.I will start running allegiance on my old dell laptop on 01/12/09 using my regular set of nicks.I don't know when I'll get the new one back,but I'll reply to this post when I do.Or we could have a "current config" area under the "My controls" to help the admins do thier cross link stuff.

How does that stop people playing with 0 rank hiders? I suspect that there are some people who would revel in the chance to beat up on new players and would therefore be encouraged to create a 0 rank hider rather than dissuaded by the poor quality of the games. Maybe I'm just being cynical.

This community is already small enough without people fracturing it further, sure this MAY work for the 4 or 5 hours a day that are considered prime time or whatever, but for the other twenty when there are no more than about 10-20 players on at the most, you're going to drive all the vets away because they will never have games of more than 2 a side if they even manage to get ones going at all. I can't believe you would propose an idea that Novs should never play with Advs and tbh I don't think you have thought it through. It would also screw up all chances novice cadets have of observing squad games.

Novices should be allowed to do what they want if they are given GC or happen to take it, if they don't want to be trashed by the Adv players then they should be playing on the newbie server (not advisable) or should be seriously considering taking both cadet courses (recommended). If they want to allow vets into their game, isn't that their prerogative? Isn't the vet freely joining the game knowing that a novice has GC? And if there is such a large amount of discontent with the situation, why not just move to a different server and start your own game there, it happens every day.

That would have worked for a time when allegiance was a multi-thousand player game. Now it's not the case.
How am I supposed to show my newbie friends how to play if I can't get them in the main game?
...
Orion do you even play allegiance anymore?
