Fact of the matter still is, that Judging from the logs, Beer's ban is unjustified.

Out9, rix, clearly a lulz game.

Ban? No.

BV banned his own squadmate, is this an example of impartialness?! Or did he take Defi (a known stacker) into ACE (known for anti-stacking) so he could one day ban Defi and be done with Defi's proxing of BV's bomb runs?!

Anyone else find Fragz-"lag hack master"-tack calling other people cowards, down right hilarious?

CronoDroid wrote:QUOTE (CronoDroid @ Mar 23 2008, 12:21 PM) Everyone will be at a mediocre level of skill. All the old stackers will be replaced by the antistackers who are the only skilled players left in the game because everyone else left in disgust/anger.

And the cycle continues.

In short: Stackers leaving means current antistackers become stackers due to a huge skill imbalance in the community. Remember, you have to have skill to stack in the first place, and skill to antistack.

Not trying to pick on you Crono but I'm sure other people might actually believe this statement. Your logic is wrong here for two reasons. That would suggest that in the past 8 years no newbies have gained skill in this game quick enough to hang with the current ranks of anti-stacking vets. Look at Drizzo, yourself, Broodwich, Guitarism, MrK, and Evincar just to name a handful. Each of those players are relatively new compared to some of the vets in this community yet they display skill levels that are on par with most vets. If you agree that we would retain 2x the newbies then its only natural that a certain percentage of them would become good enough to replace the vets that leave.

The other thing I disagree with is that antistackers would become the new stackers. In the absence of a stack, an anti-stacker for the most part will join whatever team that makes the game more competitive for both sides. It doesn't matter if there are suddenly more voobs on each side. By definition anti-stackers don't gang up on one side for the most part.

I think you may be right! I overheard BV saying how he had devised a scheme to finally give up the reigns. With Fidel going into retirement and all he was hoping to spend his twilight years on the beach in Cuba smoking big fatties with Fidel and TE. Apparently his plan isn't going so well though.

UGH, the problem with non stacked teams is that its a TOTAL HEADACHE to get the team to do anything. You spend an hour yelling at idiot voobs/noobs to get them to do stuff to win the game and... ugh

its enough to drive a man to drink.

i feel this will lower the overall game play as the more experienced people will play less due to not wanting to be hassled. The games may be more even, but the voobs/noobs who actually have potential wont be going up against the toughies and as such will develop skills either slower or not as well since they wont be playing against the creme of the crop.

Not that it impacts my NOAT sitting much... oh wait NOAT is always stacked :(

Technical Wonder wrote:QUOTE (Technical Wonder @ Mar 23 2008, 02:03 PM) Wrong. TE and BV regulate other people's servers, not their own. They host a MATCHMAKING service, not game servers. Their job is ONLY to uphold the rules, not invent new ones.
I disagree. I've been in this community just as long as TE and BV, as have many many others. The community doesn't BELONG to anyone. This is Microsoft's game, which they have graciously given us the reigns to; Us, as a collective, as a community. Not to any two people. It is not their community, they are members of it, just like us.
I wish I was in your fantasy would, would make all this easier to stomach as I don't agree with it either.

Fact remains, they can ban you tomorrow for not playing the game with your pants off, and you can't stop them. It's that simple. Doesn't matter how long you've been here, how much you contributed either via time or money.

It's the way it is.

IMHO there are more things you need to worry about with player influx, as it currently is any new player downloading this game for the first time can't play it if they have most current generation video cards and current drivers. They will log in, get wasted flying at 10 fps and uninstall.

Funny, whenever I think of Emperor Palpatine I think of Dubya Bush, well, a stupider uglier version of the Emperor. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

do antistackers joining an anti stack stack count as stackers (you know, 150 helo vs 110helo but the 110 helo has way better players on it)
