Sorry for the necro but only just seen this and felt i had to post something about the person who not only got me into this game but was one of the few who made me stick at it for so long when I was going through a really bad patch in my life. MrC was an awesome person and someone I always wish I had met face to face and had a few beers with. We were due to meet as I had met others in the past but something cameup which il post the PM of below(I'm sure he wouldnt mind due to the hysterical nature of it)
If even half of society were like him we would love in such a better place.
QUOTE QUOTE QUOTE I am sporting a fat lip, two broken teeth, and a throbbing wrist. Was at my friend's house rushing down his second flight stairs and tripped over his cat. face planted into my right hand wrist... Im right handed btw, my wrist throbbing, I look like a $#@!ing jack'o'latern and Ive missed you... this is no @#(! for real. Its a $#@!ing miracle I didnt shatter my wrisst... mother $#@!er hurts like hell
sorry for being late

Wow. I had assumed something came up that made us miss each other, but not something this bad. Dont worry abut the meeting at all, no need to apologies. It sounds like a horrible fall, and reiterates my reasoning for not purchasing one of those damn felines haha.
I hope you get well soon, we can re schedule anytime

It appears that Ill be ok. Fingers work, wrist turns, and it started bending this morning... it is still swollen and feel wierd when I do a full turn.
The chipped teeth are more problematic, but not as bad as I first thougt. They are still there. Ive taken the day off work and am internally debating whether or not to go get it x-rayed. Im using both hands to type for the first time so hopefully it isn't broken. Im not much one for doctors
So in a tl;dr summation
I fell ( it wasn't the cat but a handle I was told after the fact ) down some stairs and landed on my hand, fattening my lip or effetively punching myself in my own face with my hand hard enough to almost break it

Rest in Peace, you will be missed by many.

I just logged in after a long hiatus to find this. MrC was a good man. He was an accomplished engineer in real life, an unintelligible but hilarious poster on these boards, and he passed too young. May he rest in peace.
