Well. yeah.

I wrote a batch file that would schedule a task to do tracerts every 30 minutes and store the results in a txt file. You can use that if you want to automate collection. But tracerts when you are experiencing the problem are most useful to the solap admins and their SP.

Edit: you can find a link to my batch file somewhere further up this thread...

I seem to be experiencing the same issue as Sharpfish, Avenger, and Trax:

I live in Baltimore, MD about 50 miles north of Washington, D.C.

This is the ping I tested to a server in TX.

This is my corresponding ping on Planet2:

All good, right? So let's try my ping to a server in VA.

That's cool, so my ping on Solap is around 10, maybe 20 or 30 max, right?

And this is about as low as it will get. Occasionally I see 300. For a few minutes.

Pinging and tracert are not helpful, due to firewall issues.

Is there any solution, or is it just "shut up and don't bother us, because the community as a whole benefits from playing on Solap."

Solution is "Read the thread"

It's a problem specific to Solap and maybe a few other web sites/servers/whatever hosted in the same location. You could be two buildings away yet still have a ping worse than Fuzz

Im in daily communication with the provider and am asking for definitive answers rather then we are working on it.

At this point Im feed up with it all.

Apparently the problem is on and off for me, as of right now, my ping is 10ms.

Just relax...
"It" is not gonna end anyway. So dont care.
Hosting a server is like paying for trouble, you get numb after a while.

BTW: I got a great connection to the Solap server... Its still super.
I guess some "users" just got a cheap ass service provider... SUCKERS.....

Advice taken already see last post. One *head slapping moment ago* I came to this conclusion:

Karma is a right proper bitch.

Btw Crow does NOT taste like chicken and I highly don't reccommend it even for the most vocal in this thread.
