your damn right it's WoW... I'm one of those victims who got swept into it's clutches and with the new Exp I just can't fit more than one game into my busy life. I came visiting today for nostalgia and the fact that Work is really really slow today

Here's my latest effort to advertise Allegiance.

Special thanks to Loriana for the awesome Allegiance background I use as an ad :iluv:

Flipside doesnt understand he can join a game anytime, play a little and when he needs to leave the world wont come to an end. Thats probably that greatest thing about alleg. You dont have to wait for everyone to get in a room and get ready like so many other games ive tried to play online and failed.

And maybe we should change the "Greatest game you've never played" to The Greates game You'll ever PLAY

I know I'm new around here but I've seen all these problems in another game that I recently crossed over from because well it died. It all started when the Beginner ,intermediate, advanced and regular servers merged into one but there was still a training server. The problem was that when people in training had ten hours spent there they had to go to the merged server where they were quickly owned and never heard from again. Alot of people said this was bad for the game on the forums but to no avail it happened anyway (deja-vu). When it did have 4 different servers( Training ,Beginner,Intermediate, Regular ) it thrived . I personally think its best for players of the same skill level to play against and learn from eachother. An idea would be to have novices only play with novice's and intermediates only play with intermediates until you reach veteran level then theres a server for vets and experts merged. They shouldnt even have a choice to join a int or vet server it would just bring disorder. Another good thing about this would be spotting players that are too good to be at a certain level and reporting them on the forums or by E-mail.This game takes way more time to learn than any other game I've ever played and its impossible to think that a novice can learn anything from being owned in 3 seconds by a vet or even an intermediate. Maybe he would learn to run and not fight,is that learning? If anything novices playing together would read more about the game and create their own community and help build the player base ,their tactics would be different but they would eventually learn. Its to get them to stick around long enough so this game keeps their interest ,honestly this game takes time for that to happen

We only have about 600 actives in any given week at the moment. A minimum size for a real game is 5 vs. 5, and more like 8 vs. 8. Honestly the new pilots learn best in the real games, as soon as they have learned the basic controls in the sandbox called "Nebie Server".

This is one of those games where you really need to "read the manual", which in this case means the Allegiance Academy and Cadet I files, or spending a lot of time reading the help files in game.

I dunno, I grasped all the basics on the newbies to the point I could actually follow the chat and do useful ish things in the main game.
I decided to relive the days gone by in my new blog.
