Great!
I wonder why ASGS is sending us updates instead of the game's built in AutoUpdate feature....that doesn't make much sense to me.
I will join now too to come play with ya.

It is my understanding AU was never intended to support beta testing and can only push files to the artwork folder, it cannot even update the client. It also cannot push files to a sub folder of the artwork folder. Someone (not me) looked at code and the conclusion was, given how it was written, it would require a complete overhaul to add what we need. ASGS was modified to do most of what we need, i.e. be aware of the 1.1 registry keys and push files to sub folders as well as the client.

You're mistaken, or whoever told you it's not possible was mistaken.
clintlib\AutoDownload.h(352)
Reloader\Reloader.cpp(285):
WinTrek\trekigc.cpp(3145):
Above shows key files and locations. I don't see where the problem is.
I have tried it and it works. I will offer my help to you so you can set it up and see for yourself...

7.22.09 TEST (NEW) ISSUES
- (Allies) eye in base (confirmed)
- (Allies) friendly fire critical message (lack of)
- (Allies) docking at allied base in pod _sometimes_ puts you in allied station not your own (confirmed, only after you previously rearm at same base)
- No deadzone causing issues , remove it
thanks testers! I will knock these bugs out ASAP

- Server crash reproducible joining a techno flux flag.1 as a turret? cc_04
edit: yes the one i blamed KGJV for
EDIT2: Crash identified as a bug I've introduced to handle life pods docking at allied stations. technically boarding a ship changes your station and i didn't account for that. Hopefully i can get these aforementioned issues fixed for another beta test Saturday?

The only thing i can think of was the upgrade to DirectInput. I can't reproduce any differences so that makes it nearly impossible for me to say.

the difference is subtle but noticeable. Considering how many hours i've put into this thing it was pretty clear off the bat something wasnt right. I really couldnt say for certain what it was, however is there a way to revert to the old way?
