This is it. The breaking point. What we do here will now be either the death or survial of Allegiance.
Have people over reacted? $#@! yes. We have the people pushing the limit as far as they can. Then we have people breaking it, or just causeing problems. Then we have they bystanders gettting caught up in this hell. Then the people who think something is screwed up and talk CIVILIZED about it. But there are the people that $#@! up their arguments as well.
Put yourself in Pooks,Thals, and BV shoes. Think about exactly how much @#(! they get every day. Over and over and over, they deal with people actively trying to mess everything up and cause trouble. Or the people who dont listen, and everything else including matenence.
*Sigh*

I think all this has already been said but...
I lost the count of number of times I had disagreements with Thalgor (who is not really involved in any of this AFAICS, but anyway, since people are lumping them together) and/or Pook all these years. I certainly don't agree with the way they handle everything and being out of Alleg for so long I certainly have no need to kiss ass.
But guess what: nobody is perfect. Overall, they have both done a FAR, FAR better job than 99%+ of us could have done. Even though they both lost interest, hey have still kept this game alive and kept maintaining things because of one and one reason only: a feeling of responsibility. That's more I can say for most, including myself.
I understand some would have liked Pook to be more responsive to your needs, but you try juggling this bunch for what, 3 years now, while giving so much of your time and resources. It takes a toll on you. I shared in some of the responsibilities for a much shorter period of time, and really, it wasn't exactly shiny happy people all around. If Tiger has indeed taken over with help from BV, they'll both have their hands pretty full. In fact, it's going to be detrimental to the community as it means Tiger will have less time to spend on development efforts.
Much more problematic than any shortcomings of Pook (or Thalgor) was the failure of a select few to conduct themselves in a civil and proper manner which resulted in this little drama today. There is no need to point any fingers, but acknowledge the real problem, and understand that Pook's absence is a loss for Allegiance.

When i first posted in this thread, i wavered a long time before pressing the submit button, because it was obvious this was going to be bad and probably useless.
The two reasons why i did eventually click the darn thing were a) i didn't feel like letting Night have his parade unrained-on and
i wanted to stick up for Pook and BlackViper. Having a banstick doesn't do a whole lot of good if you don't feel you have the support of the community. So this is where i clicked the button and voiced my bit.
I'm glad i did.
