This is PRECISELY why I won't play anymore and I've stopped telling people about this game. I'm embarrassed to even be a part of it anymore.

I play the game when I want and can have faith in approaching games that have some semblance of a rank that I can count on.

I also know that if I want to bring someone to this game that wants to start by playing with peers (i.e. newbs) and not vs vets they can go to a newbie game and not get thoroughly owned, get discouraged and never come back.

I fail to see the problem with this or why some people are going ape@#(! over it. Duck likely covered it best.

So old vets are not playing because they keep getting banned after they play from their friends computer? Pfff. I ain´t eating this.

Nobody has made a compelling case for why it would have been an undue burden for Juckto to let his accounts link.

Why should Juckto be forced to link an account he just setup for his friend, so they could play together, simply because Juckto wanted to show his friend how to play?

I imagine it went something like this...

Juckto is at friends/relatives house over the holiday.
Juckto tells friend.. Hey friend, I know this awesome game, we should install it so we can play together when I get back home.
Friend is like.. Ok dude, install it, and show me how cool it is.
Juckto is like.. Sweet.
Downloads and Installes Alleg.
Creates a new account for the friend.
Fires up the game to show the friend what its like.
Procedes to Pwn people, while friend is in awe, and like.. Sweet dude, this game is awesome..
... Suddenley Admin Sends chat to Juckto, that he must link the accounts or be banned from the game for a year.
Juckto is like.. BV Dude,, I can't link this one, Its my friends.
BV is liike... WTF.. Banning you for talking back.
Juckto's friend is like... Dang man.. that guy was a total prick. This game must suck if you have people like that screwing with you.. Hell you didn't even do anything wrong..

--Juckto's thinking --- It's pretty embarrassing that I just praised this game to my friend, and he let me install it on his computer and BV totally dumped a load all over my plate. Banned me, and my friends computers, and totally made me look like a fool....

And don't even bring up crap about whoring on the newb server... cause he didn't do that, and that is not the issue. Juckto didn't do anything wrong. He was BANNED and treated like a CHEATER, for trying to get a friend interested in the game.

I believe juckto said he was at Da_Muck's house and didn't want to link that computer because there was a "slight" chance Da_Muck's GF might want to learn the game. Juckto has been around long enough to know that linked call signs can be unlinked.

I would have to assume juckto was having some fun flying as a rank 0 hider and got busted doing it.
