We didn't have/use tp2.CronoDroid wrote:QUOTE (CronoDroid @ Oct 25 2008, 11:47 PM) Well then you either had an excessively competent team or an excessively incompetent TP2 scout. NORMALLY I wouldn't use team competence (or the magical "Good Team" in balance arguments) but there really is a point where failure has to be blamed on a team rather than the tech. This is that point. Maybe someone should ask Shiz to play again so at least one team could have a decent TP2 scout for a change. I would love to play Allegiance again and show people how to TP2 properly but sadly I can't.

Ah, there you go.
Yes, you can afford a SY, Hvy Class and a Cruiser but don't bother buying or using TP2 which is, I dunno, 30K cheaper? Who was commanding?

sorry but i have to add that if you had the most intelligent team they would also be camping each aleph and probing the surrounding sectors. Plus if you have ints out of base arranged radially about 3k out they will most likely stop the tp2 before it activates. Especially if they have boost2

Far easier to stop a tp2 run then an sb run if you have a few ints scattered around.

Nope, I wasn't in a Lxy Fig, I would actually PROX the aleph. But since I was in a HVY bomber and my comm said clear, I went in full speed and killed the base with my Flux XRM bomber...CronoDroid wrote:QUOTE (CronoDroid @ Oct 26 2008, 01:47 AM) If you were one of the Lxy Figs, I wouldn't be surprised. If *I* or someone competent was flying a Lxy Fig, they would've been dead before they could even fire.
There was 4 squaded people camping (I won't mention who because it's really shameful to lose to 4 XRM bombers) at least the 4 squaded would kill the 4 hvy bombers, but instead they just boosted around the aleph pretending the other person would do it...
Though that was a very stupid moment, it still can happen with enough HVY bombers...

Everyone can change, but will you change?

I was comm
Rix was camping 2 sectors with mini 3 rix pwnage heavies, and we had a base in their exp sector
we tried 2-3 runs with about 12 f/b's before i said $#@! it stop spending that money i'm buying cruisers
sure i *might* have been able to get a tp2 going, but on a team of 30 or so they can easily have 5 hvy ints arrayed radially from the base to intercept any drop, or multiple drops, that would have been tried
that extra money in the xrm gives you a greater chance of getting a base kill. HTT is easier to get, and with the figures i've used the defending sup team has gat1/dumb1 with no minepack to defend against mini3 hvy ints on an htt
as has been pointed out, the xrm drop is as easy or easier to stop than a sb run. Stop telling me that because my enemy sucks at camping alephs or killing miners or pulsing their sector for tp2 scouts or having people out of base ready to boost to a tp2 I can't end the game
p.s. using all IC figures btw, with other factions XRM is usually an even worse choice than bumming to htt (He3 yield is quite a time saver)

Get over yourselves, don't try to win arguments on the internet where the option of a punch in the mouth is unavailable
"It is not that I cannot create anything good, but that I will not." And to prove this, he created the peacock.
The game ended with crusiers mostly due to your own commanding ineptitude. It was so bad half the people on your team were not stop pm'ing me about how clueless you were. Pushing an op 5/6k away from our exp then trying to figbee from it? Are you $#@!ing joking?
I also noticed you didn't mention you were trying to figbee eyed from alephs when we had mini 3 Rix heavy ints and you also didn't mention that you killed our home exp with 12 figbees from an uneyed aleph 3k away. OH my what happened to our Tac? What killed that? IF you guessed figbees you are correct!!!
Please slant the evidence in your direction a little more all the while ignoring your successful figbee runs
My grandma could have won that game with tp2 + cruise booster + figbee.
Especially since you had pulse you could deprobe. Fact of the matter is we saw your runs coming from Aero every...single...time. I'm not sure why you think any attack should succeed through an eyed aleph when someone has mini 3 rix heavy ints but more power to you.
And when you are Rix with mini 3 heavy ints and all the trimmings...do you think its going to be $#@!ing easy to beat them anyway when there are 30+ heavy ints? Maybe try something different than 12 figbees from an eyed aleph like oh I don't know tp2'ing + con pushes?

I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.
ugh too many points to address directly
In that specific game I could not keep the team focused on anything except dming that sector after idan left, so i went the way of a sure win instead of a good chance
not like anything I say here will stop the community core dev team from doing exactly as they please anyways
see you next release

Das your attitude is getting a bit tiresome. Look, we have gone over this countless times now. We* voted, we* discussed and we* made a decision. No tech in this game should be as unbalanced as XRM antibase. Okay you spend alot of money getting it, but does that mean we should give every tech path a peice of tech that you spend alot of money to get that is basically a win button, Assault HTT's anyone ?. I dont think so. Just because a fraction of this community believe sup is weak (even though it has the most upgrades and tech at a cheaper cost) and it needs an instant win peice of tech doesnt mean it should be there. If the quality of gameplay is worse after the next release we will look at other ways to suppliment sup and or see about adding in xrm at a further nerfed variant of the current version.
Please dont make assumptions that it will render an entire tech path un useable.
